I am working my way through the request list for the layered designs. Gymnastics has been one of the subjects repeatedly requested, so today, I’m sharing a tumbling girl design. This design will download in SVG and DXF formats.
I don’t mind if you use these designs for personal or small business commercial use up to 200 items, but please do not re-sell or re-distribute the files. I’d ask that you direct your crafty friends here to download the files themselves. Also, I don’t allow my designs to be used in print-on-demand shops or on transfers that will be sold. MATERIAL LIST AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAYERED GYMNASTIC MANDALA
- 65lb. Cardstock – I prefer the Recollections brand
- Foam Tabs – These are my favorite. I’ve found they provide more depth between the layers. Also note, the Amazon description shows the package includes 50 tabs. It’s really 464. There are 50 large pieces, and 414 small sizes.
- Light Grip Mat (blue)
- Cricut Maker – or cutting machine of your choice
- Design #77 – Layered Gymnastics Mandala– Free SVG cut file (available in my freebie vault—get the password at the bottom of this post).
This design has seven layers. I used foam tabs for the top gymnast then glued the second layer to the third as the side is so thin. The remainder of the layers were attached using foam tabs in the material list above.

Thank you very much for wonderful design. I made this for my gymnastic older granddaughter and she loved it. The younger one plays soccer and she wants one too. Thank you for making craft to keep people happy.
I love these layered mandalas with figures in them is it possible that you might do one with the silhouette of a basketball player.
I made this for my granddaughter. I made it 10″ in all pinks – glitter pinks, shinny pinks and every other shade of pink I could find. I made her a wreath, pink of course, and used the round for the center. She’s 7. She LOVED it! Her big brother, a football fan, is getting a wreath for his birthday next week.
Thanks for the great design and inspiration!
Do you put the spacers between all the layers or only some? How do you decide which ones to space if not all of them?
I used spacers on all except the top layer. It’s really just a matter of preference. Play around with it and see how you like it to look.
